The master bedroom is definitely one of my favourite rooms in our house… After spending six months living in the heart of our renovation project it was lovely to finally have a bedroom suite that has space and an en-suite with running water!!
One of the things that James and I never figured on when we took on our ‘fixer upper’ was the fact that there would be no running hot water, not heating and that we would be living in a construction zone. So when we finally had a room that was clean, dust and dirt free and had a full working bathroom it certainly felt like a luxury.
The master bedroom is a massive 24ft x 17ft with a 13ft vaulted ceiling with french doors opening to a Juliet balcony which overlooks the garden below. The wall with the french doors is also the feature wall and has wallpaper from Laura Ashley’s hydrangea range the remaining walls and ceiling are painted in cotton white also from Laura Ashley. The bedding and three of the scatter cushions are also from the hydrangea range in camomile.
The floor is the same throughout the house and is a luxury vinyl that looks like real wood.
The bed is also from the Broughton range at Laura Ashley whilst the wardrobes are from Homebase Schrieber fitted bedroom range also in ivory, the solid oak doors are all from Magnet Joinery and the chairs we brought with us from our old house.
